THE EFFECT OF HEALTH EDUCATION USING MEDIA BOOKLETS ON KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SIGNS HAZARDS OF PREGNANCY IN PREGNANT WOMEN

Abstact
In 2019, an estimated 295,000 pregnant women died during and after pregnancy and childbirth. The number of maternal deaths in Indonesia reached 4,627 people in 2020. This death rate increased by 10.25% compared to the previous year of only 4,197 people. Health promotion using educational media is one of the right ways to convey health messages to the public. With this message, it is hoped that people, groups or individuals can gain better knowledge about health. This knowledge is ultimately expected to influence behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine "The effect of health education using booklet media on knowledge about danger signs of pregnancy in pregnant women at the Tanah Sareal Health Center". This study used a quantitative research type with a pre-experimental method. The design used in this study was a one group pretest-posttest design. And the method of sampling in this study was by using a total sampling technique with a total sample of 25 respondents. Collecting data using a questionnaire on the knowledge variable about danger signs of pregnancy and booklet media on the health education variable. The results showed that of the 25 respondents, the frequency distribution of knowledge about danger signs of pregnancy in pregnant women before being given health education using booklet media at the Tanah Sareal Health Center, the majority of pregnant women were 22 (88, 0%) of respondents with less knowledge and were given health education using booklet media for the majority of pregnant women there were 20 (80.0%) respondents with good knowledge results. Asymp value statistical test results. Sig (2-tailed) 0.002 <0.05 this shows that there is a significant difference. then it can be concluded that "Ha is accepted, Ho is rejected". It means "the effect of health education using booklet media on knowledge about danger signs of pregnancy in pregnant women at the Tanah Sareal Health Center. The conclusion from the results of this study is to increase knowledge, awareness through health promotion at the Tanah Sareal Health Center for the community, especially pregnant women. 05 this shows that there is a significant difference. then it can be concluded that "Ha is accepted, Ho is rejected". It means "the effect of health education using booklet media on knowledge about danger signs of pregnancy in pregnant women at the Tanah Sareal Health Center.
