Every disaster will have a negative impact on everyone, especially vulnerable groups. One of the disasterprone groups is the early teens because they have not been able to save themselves, so the chances of becoming
a victim are greater. Local governments need to prepare disaster preparedness mechanisms and resources by
increasing knowledge and skills to respond to disasters. The purpose of this research is to find out whether
there is an "effect of disaster health education on the level of knowledge about disaster mitigation in
adolescents at SMK Pelita Bogor City in 2022". The method used in this study is quantitative analytic with the
pre-experimental design of the One Group Pre-test and Post-test design approach. Health education is carried
out using leaflet media, power point and showing animated videos with 58 respondents. With the sampling
technique that is random sampling. Most of the respondents were male, 32 respondents (55%) and 26
respondents (45%) female. Based on the results of the research at the pretest, the average value of the
respondents' knowledge was 62% and the average value at the posttest was 82%. It is known that there is an
increase in the average score before and after being given health education by 20%. The results of the Wilcoxon
signe rank test obtained a p value of 0.000, which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be
concluded that there is an influence of disaster health education on the level of knowledge about disaster
mitigation in adolescents at SMK Pelita Bogor City in 2022.
